Now that you know the importance of link building, you have to consider if link building services are worth your time and money. By now, you should know that link building is just about the most important thing you need to consistently spend time on in order to get good search rankings and get free targeted traffic. But what are you going to do about it? Did you come up with a workable schedule to consistently get several backlinks a week?

No? Don’t feel bad. You’re not alone. My guess is that most website owners or internet marketers know the importance of link building. But they don’t know it know it. And because of that they are NOT doing anything about it.

You might be that typical guy or gal. You start with good intentions and went and submitted your site to a couple of directories that passes link juice, and then the busy-ness of life and business took over, and a year later, you realized your site does not have any more back links as it did after that directory submission!

Okay, perhaps I exaggerated a bit. Maybe you got 10 more back links over the course of the year. But that’s not helping you much. You run a quick backlink/inlink analysis of your competitor using the Yahoo site explorer (much more accurate than Google’s) and see that they have 1500 backlinks, and you have 20. Now you are overwhelmed! You finally come to the realization that at the rate you are building backlinks, you will never catch up to your competitors, and therefore you will never get the traffic you really want!

Now that you realize your dilemma, you need a solution. Perhaps a few solutions to help you get inbound links quickly, and consistently over time. Yes, you want a consistent plan, not a one shot plan, as consistent link building looks more natural to search engines. One shot efforts looks spammy.

Utilizing link building services allows you to work on the other areas of your business such as writing content, strategizing, rather than getting caught up in repetitive labor of asking other websites to link to you.

Here are some of the proven types of link building services you can use:

1) Outsource others to do a reciprocal link campaign for you as well as manage it, and give you a report of what sites are linking to you. If you have seen a link-exchange request in your inbox, you’ve seen this type of service in action. This is a good place to start. However, realize that reciprocal links are not worth as much as they used to in the eyes of search engines, since it’s not really a “vote” or your site, but rather a mutual exchange. (You can outsource on sites like elance.com or post a local ad and hire a student/intern to do it for you at minimum wage).

2) Outsource one-way link building campaign where they research and find sites that allow you to have one way links to your site by the means of blog commenting, directory submissions, forum postings, etc. Obviously not all sites pass link juice to Google since a lot of them use the No Follow tag these days, so you have to make sure they get you one way links from mostly sites that do pass link juice.

In the next article I will show you in detail the other two ways I’ve found that is even more effective. But remember, all link building efforts will help you somewhat but some are better than others. And if you can build a bunch of okay links without spending any of your own time, then that’s a great strategy. It’s better than the guy that gets only 2 good backlinks a year even from good authority sites. Get all kinds of links, and continue to get them consistently! Talk soon…
