It is hard to exactly say for how much dir or article submission is good for a day or week but I suggest you to submit to only higher PR and popular diectory as arly as you can and make sure to hav a variation in your anchor text while submitting to directory or while linking back in your articles having your targeted keyword in that and also try classifieds, bookmarking, blogging and other ethical methods.
This is a good question. You should try to keep it at a maximum of about 100 submissions a day to make it look natural.
Also I just wrote a blog post and added into it one of my favorite tools. That tool is FDS. you can check it out on my blog post, at
it is the 4th tool on the list. It will help you out tremendously with submitting your sites to directories. The link that I included for FDS is a direct link so it will download the software for you, then all you need to do is install it. After that you can choose to stay with the 200 blogs that they provide for you for free or you can upgrade for like $20 and they will provide you with 3000 directories to submit to.
The best part about this tool is that it is semi automatic so it gives you control over everything.
if you submit your website to any single directory or search engine more than ONCE PER MONTH – they will totally ignore you and treat you like spam, because that is what you are doing – spamming and it is totally useless to submit any more frequently than that – it may take weeks until they even spider your site after the first submittal
